The voluntary formation of the Mezdra Municipality took part in a joint exercise in the area of the Mezdra train station

This simulated situation was played out during a fire rescue exercise to manage the consequences of a disaster resulting from a railway accident.

The objectives of the exercise were to check the coordination and interaction between officials from the Operational Headquarters of the RDPBZN - Vratsa, the "Specialized Operational Activities" sector (SOD) at the RDPBZN - Montana, the RSPBZN in Mezdra and other structures of the Unified Rescue System (URS)

During the joint exercise, the injured passengers were evacuated and provided with medical assistance, the fire in the derailed train was extinguished, and the potentially dangerous tanker was plugged.
