Use of the equipment in missions to extinguish vegetation and forest fires in Mehedinci District

The equipment together with personnel from Mehedinți County Gendarmerie Inspectorate was used in support of the "Drobeta" Emergency Situations Inspectorate, in missions to extinguish vegetation and forest fires within the Mehedinți county. In the reference period (September 2023-September 2024), the situation is as follows:

  • In July and August 2024 - following the request for support from the "Drobeta" Emergency Situations Inspectorate, Mehedinți County Gendarmerie Inspectorate (equipped with equipment purchased within the project) acted to limit and extinguish a vegetation and forest fire on radius of the town of Śvinita.
  • In September 2024 - following the request for support from the "Drobeta" Emergency Situations Inspectorate, Mehedinți County Gendarmerie Inspectorate (equipped with equipment purchased within the project) acted to limit and extinguish a vegetation and forest fire in the area of Ghelmegioaia .
